GTX Brokers – Freight Brokerage Services
Last updated: September 2026
1. About GTX Brokers
GTX Brokers provides freight brokerage and logistics coordination services to businesses across Melbourne, Victoria and interstate Australia. We assist customers by sourcing suitable transport carriers and coordinating freight movements based on the information and requirements provided by the customer.
2. Our Role
GTX Brokers acts as a freight broker and logistics intermediary. Unless otherwise expressly agreed in writing, GTX Brokers does not itself transport freight. Transport services are performed by independent third-party carriers.
Our role may include obtaining freight information from customers, sourcing suitable carriers, obtaining and providing quotes, coordinating bookings and assisting with communication between customers and carriers.
3. Quotes and Pricing
Quotes provided by GTX Brokers are based on the information supplied by the customer at the time of quotation, including pickup and delivery locations, freight type, quantity, weight, dimensions, access requirements and requested delivery timeframe.
A quote may change if the information supplied is inaccurate or incomplete, or if circumstances affecting the transport service change before or during the booking.
Additional charges may apply for circumstances including waiting time, redelivery, incorrect freight dimensions or weight, additional handling, changes to pickup or delivery details, unsuccessful collection or delivery, or other services not included in the original quote.
4. Bookings
A freight booking is not confirmed until GTX Brokers has accepted the booking and confirmed the relevant transport arrangements.
Customers must provide accurate and complete information when requesting or confirming a booking.
GTX Brokers may decline a booking where suitable transport cannot reasonably be arranged or where the freight cannot safely or lawfully be transported.
5. Customer Responsibilities
Customers are responsible for ensuring that freight is accurately described, appropriately packaged and ready for collection at the agreed time.
Customers must inform GTX Brokers of any special handling requirements, dangerous or hazardous goods, unusual dimensions, restricted access, temperature requirements or other circumstances that may affect transportation.
The customer is responsible for ensuring that the freight may lawfully be transported and that any information supplied to GTX Brokers is accurate.
6. Carriers
GTX Brokers may engage independent third-party carriers to perform transport services.
The selection of a carrier may depend on factors including availability, freight type, route, equipment requirements and the information supplied by the customer.
Third-party carriers remain responsible for performing the transport services they undertake, subject to applicable law and the contractual arrangements governing the particular shipment.
7. Pickup and Delivery
Pickup and delivery dates or times provided by GTX Brokers are estimates unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing.
Transport may be affected by circumstances outside the reasonable control of GTX Brokers, including traffic, weather, road closures, vehicle breakdowns, carrier availability, industrial action, accidents and other operational disruptions.
GTX Brokers will take reasonable steps to communicate material delays that become known to us.
8. Changes and Cancellations
Customers should notify GTX Brokers as soon as possible if a booking needs to be changed or cancelled.
Cancellation, redirection or rescheduling charges may apply where costs have already been incurred or a carrier has already been allocated or dispatched.
Any applicable charges will depend on the circumstances of the booking and the costs reasonably incurred.
9. Loss or Damage
Customers should notify GTX Brokers as soon as reasonably possible if freight is lost or damaged during transportation.
GTX Brokers will assist the customer in communicating with the relevant carrier and obtaining information concerning the incident.
Responsibility for loss or damage will depend on the circumstances, the applicable carrier terms, any insurance arrangements and applicable law.
10. Insurance
Unless expressly confirmed in writing, a freight booking through GTX Brokers does not automatically include comprehensive transit insurance.
Customers should determine whether their existing insurance adequately covers goods while in transit. Where additional transit insurance is requested, any availability, cost and conditions will be communicated separately.
11. Payment
Customers must pay invoices in accordance with the payment terms stated on the relevant invoice or otherwise agreed in writing.
Additional charges reasonably incurred in performing the requested freight service may be invoiced separately where they were not included in the original quotation.
12. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, GTX Brokers is not responsible for losses resulting solely from the acts or omissions of independent carriers or events outside GTX Brokers' reasonable control.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable legislation.
13. Information Provided by Customers
GTX Brokers relies on information supplied by customers when arranging freight services.
The customer is responsible for costs or consequences reasonably arising from materially inaccurate or incomplete information supplied in connection with a booking.
14. Privacy
GTX Brokers may collect personal and business information necessary to respond to enquiries, provide quotations, arrange freight services, communicate with customers and carriers, process transactions and administer its business.
Further information about how we handle personal information is available in our Privacy Policy.
15. Changes to These Terms
